Katie finds endless inspiration in the beauty of flowers and the joy they bring to others. For her, nothing compares to the moment someone receives a bouquet and lights up. Before founding Moonlight Blooms Farm, she worked in the wine industry alongside some of the geekiest of geeks, diving deep into the science of yeast, bacteria, and enzymes. That experience sparked a lifelong love of science and still fuels her approach to sustainable, soil-focused farming.

Today, Katie blends curiosity and creativity in the field, always experimenting with new growing methods to produce happy, healthy blooms that are as unique as they are beautiful. She believes deeply in continuing education and is committed to learning new design techniques, new varieties, and new ways to elevate her craft so her work stays fresh and inspired.

While she wears many hats, her true love is farming. At heart, she is happiest when her flowers make someone else’s day. Katie lives on her small farmette with two kids, two cats, one lively young dog, and one exceptionally patient husband.

Jenny’s flower journey began with a bag of dahlia tubers gifted by her biologist husband after a few well-meaning but lackluster attempts at growing vegetables. Together they tucked the tubers into the soil, expecting little. Three months later, when the first bloom unfurled, Jenny was completely enchanted. There was no going back.

In 2019, after her father suffered a life-changing stroke, Jenny poured her heart into the care of his once-thriving vegetable garden. As flowers began to take root, the space transformed into a quiet refuge. It offered healing and connection not just for Jenny, but for her father, visiting loved ones, and family. The simple act of growing beauty became a shared therapy, a way to process, to comfort, and to carry on.

In 2023, she founded Daughter’s Dahlias & Blooms in honor of her beloved father Carlos and the transformative power of flowers. While she loves all blooms, dahlias remain her first and forever muse. Grown with care on her family’s land in Sonoma County using organic methods, Jenny’s dahlias now help supply Moonlight Blooms Farm with stunning stems for weddings, events, and arrangements that speak straight to the heart.

Enchanted by her grandmother’s gardens as a child, Judi cherishes her memory every time she spots tiny purple violets or tiger lilies dancing in the breeze. Lavender lilacs will forever remind her of her mother. Flowers have always marked the most meaningful moments in Judi’s life. Love, joy, or grief—flowers speak when words fall short.

In high school, she was given two choices for work experience: a job at a bank or a local flower shop. She made her decision in five seconds flat and never looked back. From shop assistant to lead designer in Michigan, then owning her own boutique in Ventura, California, Judi’s career has bloomed right alongside the flowers she loves.

Since settling in Northern California, Judi has worked as a studio-based and freelance florist with local floral teams, and she continues to hone her craft through ongoing workshops and classes. Today she is a teacher at Santa Rosa Junior College, where she is adored by her students for her constant innovation and fearless approach to floral design.

Her greatest joy remains in designing with flowers, letting emotion and nature guide her hands. Judi is thrilled to collaborate with Moonlight Blooms Farm, where her refined design eye meets the wild beauty of farm-grown flowers. For Judi, it is a perfect pairing: floral design rooted in memory, meaning, and a whole lot of heart.

Flower Fridays are when friends come together to turn the week’s harvest into beautiful bouquets. There’s sparkling wine, delicious snacks, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of flower play. The joy is in the doing, creating something lovely with good company, and in the giving. Most of our arrangements are delivered to hospice or assisted living facilities, bringing a little color, care, and cheer to someone’s day. As part of our one for one commitment, for every bouquet we sell, we create another to give away because everyone deserves to feel seen and celebrated.
